By using InvoicesEngine (the “Service”), including the API, playground, and website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

InvoicesEngine provides tools to extract structured data from invoice documents and related utilities. Features include:

• PDF and image invoice processing via API and playground
• Optional add-on data fields when enabled
• Basic analytics and rate limiting
• Contact and support channels

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.

4. Accounts & API Keys

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and API keys
• You may share API keys with trusted third parties at your own discretion
• You are solely responsible for all usage and charges incurred under your account, regardless of who uses your API keys
• You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized or suspicious activity

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including:

• Processing documents without a right to do so
• Uploading malicious files or attempting to exploit security vulnerabilities
• Interfering with or disrupting the Service
• Bypassing rate limits or usage restrictions

6. Data Handling

Uploaded files are processed in Europe and stored temporarily (by default for one day) to complete extraction. For details on what data we store and how long, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice, for maintenance, upgrades, or other reasons.

8. Fees and Payment

Certain features may require payment. Pricing is provided on our website and may change with notice. You are responsible for any charges incurred under your account.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, code, and trademarks of the Service are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of documents you upload but grant us a license to process them for the purposes of providing the Service.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of extracted data or the suitability of the Service for any particular purpose.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits, or data loss arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months prior to the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the laws of the country in which our company is established, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
